Marc Cain in the UK: the AW26 collection, and the green running through it
Marc Cain's autumn delivery arrived on Thursday, and unpacking it was unusually easy to make sense of. One colour ran through almost all of it.
Forest night green reads as near-black under shop lights. Take a piece to the window and it warms up into something closer to a deep bottle green, which is the sort of colour that behaves like a neutral without being one.
The short version:
- Forest night green is the colour the whole autumn collection is built around.
- The double breasted blazer and the pleated trouser are cut to match, and work apart.
- Tannin brown and off-white are the two shades that sit beside the green.
- Marc Cain is stocked selectively in the UK, which is why it is usually found through independents.
- Everything here is in the Wetherby shop and online.

- Forest night green, and the pieces built around it
- The brown and the off-white that go with it

What Marc Cain does well
Marc Cain is a German label, and the thing our customers come back for is the finishing. The buttons are chosen rather than defaulted to. Seams sit where they should on a body that is not a sample size. Prints are developed in-house and reappear across a season in ways that let separate pieces talk to each other, which is why a Marc Cain jacket and a Marc Cain trouser bought months apart still look deliberate together.
It is not a label that shouts. That suits how our customers dress.
Forest night green, and the pieces built around it
The double breasted blazer is what started this edit. Two neat rows of gold dome buttons, gold trim on the pocket flaps, and a shape that sits close through the waist and finishes at the hip. Narrow notched lapels stop it reading as borrowed from a suit.
There is a matching trouser, pleated at the front and tapered to just above the ankle, and the two together do the job a dress usually does at an autumn wedding. Worn apart they do not look like half of anything.
Then the softer pieces. A houndcheck dress in the same green family, a jersey top with a horse print that we did not expect to like as much as we do, and a plain jersey top for the days when the print is too much.
The brown and the off-white that go with it
Green this deep needs something warm next to it. Tannin brown is the answer Marc Cain gave us this season, in a woven trouser that we have been putting with the green jacket since the boxes were opened.
The off-white jersey top is the other one worth knowing about. It goes under everything here, and it is the piece that stops the whole outfit going heavy.
Finding Marc Cain in the UK
Marc Cain is not on every high street, which is usually how people end up searching for a stockist rather than a shop. We carry it at our boutique in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, and the collection is online as well, so you can order it wherever you are.
If you are within driving distance, come and try things on. Marc Cain fits closer than a lot of labels and there is no substitute for putting a jacket on over what you would actually wear underneath it. Ring us on 01937 585429 if you would like anything set aside before you travel.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I buy Marc Cain in the UK?
We stock Marc Cain at Olivia Grace in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, and the collection is available online. Marc Cain is stocked selectively in the UK rather than widely, which is why independent boutiques are often the easiest route to it. If you are looking for a particular style or a particular size, ring us on 01937 585429 and we will tell you honestly whether it is on the rail before you travel.
Can I buy Marc Cain online?
Yes. Everything we have in the shop is on our website, so the whole hand-picked selection is available wherever you are in the country. If you would rather talk a piece through before ordering, give us a ring and we will describe how it actually fits and what it sits well with, which is the part a photograph never quite manages.
What is forest night green?
It is Marc Cain's deep green for autumn 2026. Indoors it reads almost black, and in daylight it warms into something closer to a bottle green. That behaviour is what makes it easier to wear than a brighter green, because it sits comfortably alongside the black and navy most people already own rather than competing with them.
What goes with forest night green?
Tannin brown and off-white are the two we keep reaching for, and both are in this collection. Brown gives the green some warmth, and the off-white lifts an outfit that could otherwise get heavy. Denim works too if you want to break the whole thing up and wear the jacket on an ordinary day rather than a smart one.
Do you have the full Marc Cain autumn collection in the shop?
We hand-pick from each Marc Cain collection rather than taking all of it, so what is on the rail is a considered selection rather than the whole range. That is deliberate. It means the pieces we do carry are ones we would put on a customer ourselves. If you are after something specific from the season, call and we will tell you whether we have it or whether it is worth looking elsewhere.
