Talis Chains makes semi-precious stone jewellery designed in London to be layered rather than worn one piece at a time. Founder Dee Vesali built the label around natural stones picked for their colour and their markings, so no two pieces are quite identical. We stock it at Olivia Grace Fashion in Wetherby.
Our customers kept asking for gold jewellery with some warmth to it, and this is what answered it. A lot of gold plating is just gold. These have stone in them, and the stone is what makes them wearable with everything.
The first edit covers necklaces, chokers, bracelets and hoops. Tiger's eye runs through most of it, in beaded chokers, a carved fish pendant and a small square stone set into the everyday hoops. There are plain gold pieces too, a chunky link bracelet among them, for when you want the weight without the colour.
Dee Vesali founded the label in 2019 and designs it in London. Every piece is eighteen carat gold plated over brass with an extra electroplated layer, and the stones are natural, so the banding and depth of colour differ from one to the next. Freshwater pearl turns up on the clasps, which is a small thing you only notice when you put it on.
Pieces are cut to different lengths on purpose, from a 38cm choker to a 50cm chain, so two or three worn together sit apart rather than tangling. Come and see them in the Wetherby shop, or call us on 01937 585429.
